Network Rules

As with all networks, there are rules here for EVERYONE to abide by. Failure to comply with these rules will result in loss of privilege to use the network.

USERS RULES
All users are to treat other users with respect. Every channel has its own rules, which are to be followed.
While most rules on the network are quite lax, there are a few things things that are not permitted. Do not pass around illegal materials such as child porn or warez.
However, users are permitted several freedoms, with some restrictions.
Users are permitted:
1)Privacy
2)Freedom of speech (so long as it doesn't offend others and respects channel rules)
3)Creating channels, and establishing their own sets of rules.

This network's rules system is more channel based than global rules, when it comes to users. Please be aware of this and realise that not every channel has the same rules.
There are no global rules against swearing, racism, or other abusive behaviour. It is the channel ops' responsibility to police this, not the server admins.
However, flooding and ban evasions are not permitted. Also, users that harass other users or cause disruptions to the network may be banned as well.

OPERS RULES
IRC Ops (not channel ops) are expected to understand and follow all rules that users are subjected to, as well as some oper specific rules.
1)Do not op yourself on channels you are not op on, unless the channel owner/founder has permitted you this status.
2)Do not kick, kill, or ban users from channels for personal reasons.
3)If you have a conflict with another user here on a different network, leave the baggage behind on that network.
4)Do not discuss bans with users on the forums or on the chat server. Ban discussions are only permitted to be handled via the support system.
5)Do not kill or ban other admins.
6)Do not sajoin, sapart, or svsnick users or other admins without permission from the head admin(Spanky).
7)Do not remove channel bans placed on you by channel admins. If you break a rule there and get banned, you are to be handled like another user. However, if you have any complaints about an abusive channelop, please submit a ticket.

Opers are expected to assist users in #help, on the forum, and also respond to support tickets, to the best of their ability.

Any user that has a complaint about an oper may file a complaint in our support system, by using the link on the left. Also, users may file complaints about other users in the support system, using the complaints queue. This extends to complaining about abusive channelops.
